It was while playing football that Dr. Davis discovered the benefits of chiropractic after a low back injury. Dr. Davis said "After 2 weeks of physical therapy and medication I was still bent over and unable to straighten up. I began to experience pain radiating into my legs. Frustrated, I began seeing a chiropractor who evaluated me and informed me that I had rotated a vertebra out of position in my lower back which was pressing on the sciatic nerve. Following the first treatment I was able to straighten up and after a few more treatments I was able to begin running and working out. Within another week I was able to resume playing football. I was so impressed with the results of what chiropractic care did for me, as well as many of my teammates, that upon graduation I decided to continue my education and become a chiropractor myself so I could help others as well."
Dr. Davis earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1977. Upon graduation Dr. Davis opened his Arroyo Grande office where he has practiced for 28 years. He has treated individuals ranging from children to the very elderly. He has treated many different types of musculoskeletal injuries over the years ranging from back and neck injuries to sports related injuries.
